Welcome!
Hi, we are Anastasia (Stacey) and Andrew – a couple of newly retired empty-nesters, from Australia who want to house sit to help people and their animals, reduce our costs and explore new places. We are calm, caring and capable.
We’ve been married since 2002 and have enjoyed living and working in various parts of Australia and overseas. As singletons we had lived in New South Wales, Tasmania, England, USA and Canada.
We are recently retired teachers. Now Stacey is a freelance writer for several magazines and has recently written a novel. You can see some of her articles here. Andrew focuses on photography 🙂 He is a contributor to Shutterstock and Getty Images. He also cooks a mean Vindaloo and has recently discovered he can paint a little.

We first met in Darwin and have been a great team ever since, working together for nearly 10 years in the Northern Territory before working in Abu Dhabi for a year. We have lived in Queensland since 2012 on the Sunshine Coast, Ayr and Brisbane.
As we have rented and owned different types of homes, from apartments to rural acreage, we have the experience and know-how to care and maintain most properties. As landlords we are sensitive to the standard of care you expect for your property and respectful of your trust in us.
In August 2019 we rented out our home and took to the road. We’ve been travelling and sitting on a full time basis ever since. We have had the privilege making many new friends including cats, dogs, sheep, donkeys, fish, chooks and alpacas (oh, and of course humans).
Over the years we had our own pet dogs, cats, chickens and guinea pigs, all of whom were much loved and part of the family. We have some, limited experience with sheep, cattle and horses, as we both have farming in our families, and are comfortable looking after limited numbers.
We live a quiet life and enjoy walking, exploring, cooking, reading, gardening, movies, trivia nights and writing. We don’t have any pets, which we miss, and so would love hanging out with yours.
“Some people talk to animals. Not many listen though. That’s the problem.”
― A.A. Milne
